What’s included with the personalized keepsake book?
The keepsake bundle includes everything in the 24-letter gift, plus a personalized keepsake book featuring the child’s name.
It gives them a special place to collect their letters and remember the adventure. The book and Letter #1 ship together in the first package.
Is this a subscription or recurring charge?
No. The holiday gift is a one-time purchase that includes all 24 letters.
There are no monthly payments, automatic renewals, or recurring charges. The adventure ends automatically after the final letter.
When will the first package ship? Is there tracking?
Choose from three first-mailing options:
- Start Right Away: Ships within five business days
- Before Christmas: Mails December 11, 2026
- After Christmas: Mails December 28, 2026
The first package includes tracking. If you choose the keepsake bundle, the book and Letter #1 ship together.
All later letters are sent through standard mail twice a month. Delivery dates are estimates and may vary, especially during the holidays.
How often do the letters arrive?
Letters are mailed twice a month for 12 months.
The story unfolds gradually, giving kids something exciting to anticipate throughout the year. Postal delivery times may vary slightly.
Can I include a gift message?
Yes. Select “Add a gift message” when entering the gift details.
Your message will be included with the child’s first package.
Can I send the gift directly to the child?
Yes. Enter the child’s delivery address as the shipping address during checkout, and we’ll mail the adventure directly to them.
If you’re sending gifts to different addresses, please place a separate order for each address.
What if the gift is for more than one child?
Children sharing one adventure can be entered together—for example, “Emma & Sam.” They will receive one shared set of letters.
If you want each child to receive a separately addressed adventure, add each gift to the cart individually. Gifts going to different addresses must be placed as separate orders.
What can they open before the first package arrives?
You can download our free printable gift announcement immediately.
Print it at home and place it under the tree or inside a card so the child has something exciting to open while waiting for Scout’s first package.
Is U.S. shipping included?
Yes. U.S. shipping and postage for all 24 letters are included in the gift price. There are no additional U.S. shipping charges at checkout.
What ages is Puppy Pen Pal best for?
Puppy Pen Pal is designed primarily for children ages 5–9, around a first- through third-grade reading level.
Children outside that range may also enjoy it - especially kids who love animals, mysteries, puzzles, or getting real mail.
